Late update on March Break

THURSDAY 03.19.10
Ryerson Open House + Dinner with the Battista's
The closer I get to Ryerson, the better taste I get of this University, and the more I want the opportunity to study there. This school looks incredible, and I've said it many times but I'll say it again, University to me means the Citylife and Ryerson is perfect.
Another bonus: my best friend's campus (for Food and Nutrition) is right beside Fashion's campus. Another reason why it is meant for me. I need May to come sooner; and may God answer my prayers it's an acceptance letter.
The day ended off with a Dinner and Movie with the Battista's. I love spanish families, everything with them is just so wonderful and lively!
To add the cherry on top, "She's out of my League" was such a great movie. It was really funny and the script is really something. Watch out for this quote (I think it'll mean something in everyone's life):
"You were always good enough for me. But you were never good enough for you."

SATURDAY 03.21.10
La Mission: La Prom Dress.
This day was a day that my family planned out for me to go to Buffalo to look for a prom dress. To be honest, I was just really excited to spend time with them, and I was dreading the stress of choosing a prom dress. Well, the time spent with my family was, as always, amazing and heart-warming! And yes, choosing a prom dress was stressful- could you explain how I intended to find a white dress, but I ended up with a black one? Hah. Nonetheless, I'm very satisfied with my prom dress. It's sweet and simple, just the way I like everything nowadays.

MONDAY 03.22.10
Liam Hemsworth at MuchOnDemand/MuchMusic
I felt terrible skipping the whole day the first day back, but I could not resist extending my March Break. It was my first MuchMusic appearance, how could I miss it? Hah. Obviously, Liam Hemsworth was gorgeous, sweet, tall, handsome, etc. And the movie "The Last Song" turned out to be a lovely movie. But the best part to my day was meeting my dreamboy. No it wasn't Nick Jonas, hah, it was even better. I don't know what it is with boys in cardigans, converse, tattoos, and killer smiles, but they make me weak. I also read about this boy that he's into graphic design, and a musician. Two of my favourite things- graphics and music. But of course, he had to be the MuchMusic VJ. Call me crazy eh? He did agree to be my prom date, but we all know it was just a joke, and now just a dream of mine.
Why is it that they come, and make you feel wonder, but all it leads to is nothing.
Someone wake me up. I'm dreaming all over again.

SUSHI, SIDEWALK SHOOT, AND LONG HOURS

TUESDAY 03.16.10
Sushi and Photoshoot with Tati Rockicki
The plan was to meet up with an old friend and Tatiana at Ching Park to take pictures of at the skatepark. BUT by the time Tati and I got to the skatepark, he had already left because he got hungry, and didn't know I was still coming to see him. So we ditched the skatepark and made our way to Sushi instead. Following that, we continued our photoshoot on the sidewalk streets: http://s294.photobucket.com/home/janeybabyy/set/849
Conclusion: Things are a hundred times more fun when you ditch the original plans, and make new ones on the spur of the moment.

WEDNESDAY 03.17.10
Work with Mama and the Cousins
Needed to make some good cash, so I joined my mom, Joel, and Zaldy to the international centre to do work. The work was simple- all we had to do was pack lootbags for an upcoming event. However, the conversations were complex- my cousin Zaldy and I had intense conversations about everything: the past, our life, the people we've become. It was really random for us to start getting deep about stuff, but it was worth it; not only did it make 9 hours of work seem shorter, but it reassured me about a lot of things in life, and how much I love my family.

"There are those who like you so they can be liked back. And there are those who hate you because they hate themselves."

TOMORROW 03.18.10
Tomorrow is finally the Thursday I've been waiting for. I am at last going to Ryerson University for their open house and learn more about the Fashion Communication Program.
Goal: to find out exactly what they wanted on the portfolio so I can determine whether or not I'm getting an acceptance letter or not. Hah.

WONDERFUL START TO MARCH BREAK

SUNDAY 03.14.10
Alice in Wonderland 3D with KC. Kudos to Tim Burton. It was everything I expected: Bizzare and brilliant.

"Have I gone mad?" I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”

MONDAY 03.15.10
Toronto with Liz Park.

The whole point of going to downtown today was to find a prom dress. I found the perfect prom dress- a white dress by Max Azria. Problem is, it costs $517; total fuck my life moment. Hah. However, everything was better when I got a call from MuchMusic telling me they reserved passes for me to go to MOD to see Liam Hemsworth, and vip passes to see (with Liam Hemsworth there) the first screening of the movie he’s in with Miley Cyrus, called the Last Song. I don’t care for Miley Cyrus, but Liam Hemsworth is a hotshot so I am stoked for next Monday!

Happy Holidays to you too.

Christmas will never be the same as it was being a little girl counting down the days, making lists, and counting the presents underneath the christmas tree.
It's true, the older you get the worst Christmas gets.

The first week of the Christmas break for me has been sleep, work, eat, and more sleep. I did apply to Universities (Ryerson Fashion, Film, Graphic Communication Management & OCAD Advertising), but I have not done anything to build up the portfolios required. But I'm only halfway screwed, I guess. To prevent myself from being fully screwed, I got to work my ass off next week; at least to finish up the illustrations for fashion.

As of now, I'm still relaxing, and enjoying all the food at Christmastime.
Yesterday was fun, the party was at my house meaning Philipino buffet, dancing, karaoke, and a whole lot of laughing. My presents consisted of $30 worth of Starbucks gift cards, money, and chocolates.
But the real Christmas for me is tomorrow.
I'll probably forget to blog this tomorrow, so,
HAVE A MERRY BOXING DAY.

Here's to letting go of everything I ever wanted.

This is for every person who has held hope in finding love, and holding on to one person for too long even after all the heartbreak; hoping that there will come a time when that person could realize how much you want to love them and give that to you in return.
But I say to you, fuck it. Seriously.

I can't even begin to explain how much hope I kept in the back of my mind for one person, for way too long. I've never fallen inlove, but he was the closest thing to it. Everytime he came around, I felt more alive than ever. And I can't even remember how many nights of conversations I've poured my heart for him. I know, and he knows that no other girl could care for him as much I ever will. Pretty much. Funny thing is, as much as I wanted it, being together was never on the list for him. Nonetheless, there was (stupid) me holding on to hope in the back of my mind, that one day he'll wake up and give me the same kind of attention I give him.

But here's to realizing for the last time that too much time has been wasted and accepting it completely. And here's me waking up to the day that I'll let go of everything that ever had to do with him. Hell, here's to letting go of ever trying to find something out there. I don't want any of it anymore.

Here's to feeling so low, you don't want to feel anything anymore.

A Sleepover, Mama's birthday, and H&M Christmas Dinner

Friday
Had a great time with a good friend; Esther Battista. Of course, we did whatever girls are supposed to do at slumber parties. Plan a party, have never ending girl talks, and be camera whores for at least an hour.

Saturday
Slept in during the day. And mom's birthday party with family and friends, and we watched UP which is officially the cutest movie forever.

Sunday
Had a nice cup of starbucks by myself, and started reading Snuff (Chuck Palahniuk)
H&M Christmas Dinner at Moxie's. I got Belgium chocolate and soap from Lush from my kris kringle! And funny story: I ordered Calamari, but ended up getting it off my bill because I told them it tastes like shit. Simple as that.
